SASSA Reconsideration

Sassa Reconsideration

If you have applied for the SASSA SRD R350 grants, but your application has declined, you don’t need to worry. It doesn’t mean you are out of the SASSA grants. There is an opportunity for you even if your SASSA status is declined.

The SASSA reconsideration is the best option to allow you to reapply for the SRD R350 grants. It’s a lifesaver for those who think their application has been rejected unfairly.

Your SASSA SRD R350 grant application may be declined due to several factors, such as incomplete information, ID verification, and much more, but when you make a mistake at first, you can correct it while reconsidering your application.

The reconsideration process is very easy, so you can reapply and be part of the social SRD grants. When you receive a decline status notice, apply for reconsideration within 30 days.

There are two options to reconsider your application. You can apply for a new form, which is the best free and recommended method. If you want to use the old form, you have to pay a 500 Rand fee.

SRD Reconsideration: Requirements for SASSA Appeal Process

If your SASSA SRD R350 application has been rejected, it might be due to different reasons. It’s recommended that you identify the problem of why your grant application has been declined.

You can call the SASSA helpline so they can verify where your application form is lacking, which leads to rejection. When you find out the reason for rejection while reconsidering, avoid that mistake.

If rejected, you can reconsider your application, but ensure you fulfill the following criteria.

  • You must be a South African citizen to benefit from the SRD R350 grants.
  • Make sure to submit accurate personal and bank details that match the DSD and Home Affairs departments.
  • Your age should be between 18 and 60 years.
  • You have to enter the South Africa phone number while applying. If there is an email address option, enter it for verification.
  • You need to provide proof of the financial distress situation.
